How to manage identical products?

Prerequisites
– have extended rights
– the List of identical products option must be enabled
(see Switch to extended rights | Enable an option)

Difference between identical or equivalent products:
Identical products: Identical products allow you to declare an alternative product, having a composition similar to the reference product.

Equivalent products: Product equivalences allow groupings of use based on product hazards.

 

Identical Products

Identical products allow you to declare an alternative product, having a similar composition to the reference product.

Applications Menu > Chemical Products > Products

1. Open the product detail sheet for which to declare an equivalence by clicking on its designation.

2. Edit

3. Tab Product > Section Identical Products > Field Products
Select the desired product using the assisted entry: enter the first letters of its name to obtain a list of suggestions.
It appears associated with a pre-checked box.

Multiple identical products can be selected for the same product.

It is possible to remove a product from the selection by simply unchecking the associated box.

4. Save

Creating an identical product is also achievable via:
Applications Menu > Chemical Products > Products > Identical Products > Create

In the New Identical Products form:

1. Group: Select the concerned group
2. Designation: Name the alternative product.

3. Products:
Select the desired product using the assisted entry: enter the first letters of its name to obtain a list of suggestions.
It appears associated with a pre-checked box.

Multiple identical products can be selected for the same product.

It is possible to remove a product from the selection by simply unchecking the associated box.
